Tecoma hybrid ‘Solar Flare’ ® P.P.A.F.
For several years Mountain State Wholesale Nursery has been breeding Tecomas in the hunt for a red-flowering selection. Crimson Flare® displays clusters of red flowers in the spring and fall, although the summer heat can bleach them to pink. Hummingbirds feast on their nectar. This clone has outstanding deep green foliage, providing a showy backdrop for the red blossoms. Full sun and reflected heat locations are ideal for this heat-loving shrub. Crimson Flare® grows rapidly to a mature size of eight feet tall and wide. Freezing temperatures may burn the foliage, but simply cut plants back hard to rejuvenate in the early spring. © Copyright by Mountain States Wholesale Nursery 2011 Visit www.mswn.com for more information. back to top
