  • Hailing from Cyprus where he honed his talent for discovering soulful Afro, Latin-driven World Beat, and Deep House, World Famous Rani “g” has since become a mainstay in the Phoenix music community. A good friend of the garden, Rani knows how to please the crowd and spin the world in the right direction.
• 7-8 p.m. Tequila Tasting & Provocative Plant Presentation
  • Join the Garden in a toast to the Blue Agave and other Sonoran plants that lend their talents to good times including a provocative plant presentation and tequila tasting.
• 8-9 p.m. Bata Ire - Latin/Soul/Funk
  • Following cues from the ancient tradition of Yoruba in Cuba, Bata (batáh) meaning “drum” and Ire (ee-ray) for “feeling good” is an apt description for this dynamic ensemble. Always a vibrant live show, their eclectic mix of “soul shaking rhythm” is like nothing else in town.
