Latin | Soul | FunkFollowing cues from the ancient tradition of Yoruba in Cuba, Bata (ba-táh) meaning “drum” and Ire (ee-ray) for “feeling good” is an apt description for this dynamic ensemble. Fronted by charismatic vocalist, Lauren Winston, Bata Ire blends Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music with jazz, funk, and rock 'n' roll. Always a vibrant live show, their eclectic mix of “soul shaking rhythm” is like nothing else in town. |
